A few days ago, I saw the maintenance workers disassembling the cylinder, and I noticed that they were using a pressure-applying tool to apply pressure inside the crosshead. Could someone tell me why suppression is carried out, or what its purpose is? What is the internal structure of the crosshead like?
It should be a hydraulic tool, which uses pressure to remove the internal connecting components of the crosshead.
I guess the original poster isn’t asking about what the internal structure of the crosshead looks like, but rather what’s inside the compression chamber. It’s likely not about disassembling the cylinder, but rather the piston. I often work on such things, but I don’t have any pictures; I’ll take one for you when I have time.
Removing the hydraulic connector. The piston rod and crosshead are connected by a hydraulic connector. The pressure from the ultra-high pressure oil pump stretches the piston rod, causing the cap to loosen on its own. It needs to be pressed to a certain pressure in order to open. Neither too high nor too low pressure is acceptable; it is generally 147 MPa. The compressors of Shenqi are generally hydraulically connected, utilizing German technology.
The compressor you saw has a piston assembly whose crosshead is connected by threads, and pressurization is used to separate the connectors. The crosshead consists of a body, sliding shoes, hydraulic components, threaded caps, a locking device, and sealing rings.
