Which positions or equipment operations in hydrocracking units do people find to be the most difficult? ?
Generally, the reaction and compressor positions are quite difficult!

In my opinion, hydrocracking is the most difficult process to operate. Firstly, operators in this field need to be able to make accurate judgments based on the current trends of the reaction, and adjust operations accordingly in a timely manner. Secondly, a holistic perspective is necessary; those involved in reaction processes generally need to take into account the conditions of distillation and make adjustments accordingly. Furthermore, those operating the reaction units need to have good psychological resilience; generally, the first few minutes after an accident occurs in a hydrocracking unit are crucial, which requires operators to be able to take calm and decisive action. Finally, those working in reaction positions need to have a strong sense of responsibility. The adjustments required in these positions are generally much fewer than those in distillation positions; over time, people can easily become fatigued, yet it is impossible to ignore even the slightest anomaly, which creates considerable pressure.

The reaction is the most difficult part. Our system uses hot feed; the dewaxed and coked wax come directly from distillation and coking processes, which results in great instability – the reaction intensity fluctuates greatly over time!
