What is the function of valves, vents, pressure gauges, etc., in heat exchange? Use that method?
If it is a pressure vessel, a safety valve is also required
Pressure gauges, thermometers, thermocouples, venting systems, inlet and outlet isolation valves, etc.
Thank you for the reminder. What I’m wondering is whether there are any specific requirements regarding the components that need to be installed at the front and back of the heat exchangers used in typical process water systems. If such requirements do exist, what is the function of these components?
Inlet and outlet valves (control valves can be considered), temperature indication; it would be good to have a flow meter as well
If the heat exchanger is cooled by cooling water and is located outdoors in cold areas, the inlet and outlet pipes for the cooling water should be equipped with drain valves and anti-freezing bypass pipes. When the lower nozzles of the tube side and shell side are connected to pipes and valves, a drain valve should be installed at the lowest point of the pipe.
