Is there anyone on the forum who has done compression air purification? Is the principle behind removing moisture from compressed air using adsorption the same as that used in adsorption separation for oxygen production?
Air purification through compression is well-developed; oil removal is achieved, and if dehydration is required, 4A filters can reduce impurities to the PPM level
The purification of compressed air typically involves using freeze-dryers to remove water, and oil misters to eliminate oil. The oxygen separation principle based on adsorption is generally not used, as it is too expensive and impractical
There are various methods for purifying compressed air. The choice of method depends on your requirements for purification: 1. Requirements regarding dew point; 2. Requirements regarding dust; 3. Requirements regarding sterilization. It should be noted that if you require a dew point below -18 degrees, the freezing method will not be sufficient to meet these requirements, in which case an adsorption method is needed. The molecular sieve adsorption method can achieve a maximum dew point for compressed air of -70 degrees, as molecular sieves have excellent capabilities for absorbing water.
Generally, a cold dryer is used to remove water, and a filter is used to remove oil; if the flow rate is low, an oil-free air compressor can also be used to generate compressed air.
