Generally, it’s between 3 and 8; it depends mainly on how your 36-point layout is arranged to determine how many multi-point thermistors are needed.

First, determine the locations where the thermal resistances will be placed, and then decide how many measurement points are needed at each location based on the process requirements. It is advisable to contact manufacturers of thermal resistances to see if they can produce ones that meet the specified requirements.
An armored thermoresistor consists of a platinum thermoresistor element, leads, and insulating powder, all enclosed within a thin stainless steel tube; this assembly is then compressed and shaped into a single unit using molds. It features durability, vibration resistance, a long service life, bendability, and low measurement lag.
According to the manufacturer’s manual, armored thermoresistors are usually available in pairs; if more are needed, a special order is required.

The multi-point thermometers you mentioned are quite troublesome to use; it’s likely that even Tiankang, the largest temperature measurement equipment manufacturer in China, might not be able to produce them well. I suggest looking for foreign brands – it seems that the multi-point thermometers made by the German company E+H can have 40 measurement points, according to what I’ve heard...

I’ve only seen ones with two branches; if there are so many of them, and the armor gets broken due to high temperatures or mechanical damage, then it’s all over
