What percentage of people can explain security issues clearly?
It can be said that safety is a relatively comprehensive discipline. If you want to discuss safety in a thorough manner, professional knowledge of related fields is necessary; otherwise, it is a form of safety that lacks professionalism and is merely superficial. It is very difficult for an ordinary person to master every related field in depth. For now, if you have a thorough understanding of the security aspects in your industry, then you are an expert in that field’s security. So, I believe there are only experts who can explain industry safety clearly; there are no experts who can clarify all safety issues!

I agree with the view from the second floor: the scope of safety is indeed too broad; almost all human activities involve safety issues. With human limitations in terms of energy and capacity, it’s impossible to fully understand all aspects of safety. Therefore, although there are common elements across different areas of safety, these areas can still be distinguished from one another, and only safety experts in a particular industry
I largely agree with the view expressed by the friend above. As an interdisciplinary field, safety engineering exhibits its characteristic of covering a wide range of topics. Besides this breadth, it also has a characteristic of universality – just as philosophy can explain everything, safety engineering encompasses many universal principles. The four subjects required for becoming a certified safety engineer are, in essence, all basic knowledge. On this basis, by delving deeper into a specific industry to gain an in-depth understanding of the processes, equipment, and detailed operational procedures, and by applying the general principles of safety engineering, it is possible to identify and assess risks, as well as develop preventive and emergency measures. The procedures resulting from this approach will undoubtedly be practical. By analyzing accident cases, it can be seen that accidents stem from details; as the saying goes, \"details determine success or failure.\" Without studying these details and delving into them, it is highly unlikely to be able to ensure safety effectively!
Security is indeed a topic that covers such a wide range of aspects. Even if security is divided into various specialized areas and subfields, it’s hard to determine exactly how many categories there should be. As a result, few people are able to explain security issues clearly; in fact, there might not be anyone who can do so. Only experts who have thorough knowledge in this field can handle it.
One of my mentors told me: Safety means having courage, and that courage must be justified. Both experience and comprehensive knowledge are important, right? There is nothing safer than following in someone else’s footsteps, but taking some risks is sometimes necessary as well.

The broad and narrow senses of safety. In a narrow sense, safety refers to the compatibility between individual humans and their surrounding environment! Good compatibility indicates that the living environment is very tolerant! May people be happy, healthy, entertained, and prosperous! Broadly speaking, security refers to the ecological security of Earth, humanity’s living environment! Including the identification of various complex astronomical hazards from the universe! 3. A simple understanding of safety: Safety means being free from danger, and integrity means being free from damage. Safety is a state in which a person’s physical and mental health is protected from external influences. Safety can also be viewed as a state of coordination/balance among people, machinery, and the environment formed by people and machinery; once this balance is disrupted, safety ceases to exist. 4. A thorough understanding of security: This can refer to national security, political security, economic security, cultural security, international security, regional security, as well as the common concept of corporate security. 5. Frontiers of Safety: Ecological Safety, Nuclear Safety
What your master said makes some sense as well, but under normal circumstances I advise you to be cautious. It’s not easy for those who are bold; try to avoid taking risks. As the saying goes: those who drown are those who can swim!
Current situation: Important in words, less important in action, and ignored when busy. However, as a safety management department, it is essential to be able to coordinate and find a way to survive in difficult circumstances, without blaming others.
I agree with what was said on the 5th floor. I study safety engineering; after four years of study I still don’t have a clear understanding of safety, but I have indeed learned a lot, covering various aspects and almost all disciplines
One of my teachers is a doctor from the University of Science and Technology of China, and his view is exactly the opposite of your mentor’s: when in danger, one should run away immediately to save one’s own life. What can be more important than your life? Avoid anything that poses a risk – don’t do it and don’t even try it. It’s better to be overly cautious than to take any chances
