It’s a true story from our factory from a few years ago: the wires in the workshop were installed in metal pipes, but the safety inspection department said that this could lead to electric leaks and therefore it wasn’t acceptable; the fire department, on the other hand, said that metal pipes could cause fires. There are specialized electrical conduit pipes, and I’ve never heard of a situation where electrical installation standards would require the use of iron or plastic pipes as you mentioned. Why don’t they allow that? Can you provide the relevant standards? It’s simply an abuse of power, complete nonsense
No way! Installing wires in steel pipes or plastic pipes are both methods for laying wires; using steel pipes raises concerns regarding electrical leakage, and such pipes require a protective wire to be connected ; The fire department does not allow the use of plastic pipes. What kind of company is yours? What is the required fire resistance rating for the workshops? Along what paths should the plastic pipes be installed? Steel pipes are also vulnerable to fire!

I have never encountered such a situation as you described. My company uses specialized wire conduits, which are made of iron; plastic ones are generally used inside walls. According to what you said, what material should the pipeline rack be made of?
In the key production areas of the coking plant where I work, wires are run through iron pipes; in offices and similar areas, they are placed inside walls or using plastic pipes.

Using copper pipes as wiring conduits is indeed too extravagant; as long as the requirements are met, it’s better to use cheaper materials to save money
