What is the effect of the distillation column feed method on the vapor velocity inside the column? Who has more detailed information? I’d like to ask them
It seems that the steam velocity inside the tower has little to do with the feeding method. The steam velocity inside the tower is determined during the design phase. More precisely, within the operating range of the tower, the steam velocity inside the tower is related to the production load; the higher the load, the greater the steam velocity. The content of the light key component in the feed components on the feed plate should be less than that of the light key component on the lowest tray in the distillation section, and greater than that of the light component on the highest tray in the stripping section. This prevents the material composition on each tray inside the tower from being disrupted after feeding, thereby maintaining stable operation.
