As the title suggests, in a work resume, how should one describe one’s English proficiency – as ‘average’, ‘good’, ‘excellent’ or ‘fluent’? What are the most natural ways to express this in English? Thank you
Fluent in English: Fluent in English. Advanced in English: Good command of English. Excellent and good are probably similar; I think few foreigners would use the term \"average\", as it conveys a not very positive attitude
Generally, Average, Good, Excellent. Fluent. Personally, I think it would be better to describe skills in a more detailed manner in the resume, such as certificates obtained and oral proficiency levels.
At the very least, it should be rated as Excellent; there’s no need to go any higher than that. In an English interview, your level can be roughly assessed through just one or two sentences
Excellent, outstanding; Fluent, fluent in speaking. For Haidou friends who are not majoring in English, if you can “speak fluent English”, that’s really amazing!
Fluent is, I think, quite excellent and ideal!
English proficiency also includes reading, speaking, and writing, depending on the nature of the job.

Actually, whether your English is fluent depends on whether it’s for work or for daily life; there’s a pretty big difference in that regard
