I study engineering technology. Now my supervisor has asked me to explain multi-stage pumps to the operators. If anyone has any materials on this topic, please share them; anything simple will do, such as the principle, structure, and precautions~~~ I only know a little about this subject. Thank you
Multi-stage centrifugal pumps are similar to centrifugal compressors: as pressure increases from front to back, the flow channels in each stage of a multi-stage tandem pump gradually narrow, the flow channels of the impeller narrow as well, the walls of the impeller become thicker, and the diameter of the impeller decreases. Mechanical seals or packing seals are installed before and after the pump shaft to prevent leakage of the fluid inside the pump. Lubricant filling ports are provided at both ends of the pump casing, allowing lubricant to be added to lubricate the pump bearings.
