Clean production is an independent system that requires continuity from its establishment to operation. It’s a great idea that your company’s leadership wants to incorporate elements of clean production, but it seems they don’t understand what it actually is; they probably think it involves carrying out some environmental protection efforts! The content of clean production includes three aspects: clean products, clean production processes, and clean services. From the above definition of clean production, we can see that it encompasses the expectations of producers, consumers, and society as a whole regarding production, services, and consumption. These expectations include: (1) It takes into account both resource conservation and environmental protection throughout the entire process of industrial product production, from the design stage right through to the use of the product and its final disposal ； (2) It requires consideration of environmental impacts not only in production but also in services ； (3) It achieves cost-effective reduction of industrial waste at the source, moving away from traditional approaches that ignore cost efficiency or rely solely on end-of-pipe control. (4) It can improve a company’s production efficiency and economic benefits, making it a popular option among businesses compared to end-of-pipe treatment methods. (5) It aims for the thorough protection of the global environment, offering hope for all of humanity to create a cleaner Earth together.
