It is a single-tower type container with an inner diameter of Φ3520; the material used is 316L. The thickness of the cylinder shell is 8 mm for the lower 10-meter section and 6 mm for the upper 5-meter section. There are 25 trays inside the tower, each with a diameter of Φ3510. These trays are composed of multiple pieces that are connected to each other using bolts, and these pieces in turn are connected to T-beams via bolts. The T-beams are bolted to brackets welded to the inner wall of the cylinder. The unevenness of the trays is required to be within 4 mm, and there is only a 5-mm gap between the edges of the trays and the inner wall of the cylinder. Question: 1. When installing T-beams and tray plates on this equipment, should it be installed in an upright position or a horizontal position? 2. How to ensure that the bolt holes on the tower plates correspond one-to-one with those on the T-beams, so as to enable interchangeability of the tower plates and facilitate disassembly and assembly?
I’m concerned that if this tower shell is placed horizontally, it will become deformed. The gap between the edges of the tray and the inner wall of the cylinder is only 5 mm, and due to the elliptical shape of the tower shell, it’s likely that the trays won’t fit in. It is recommended to increase this gap to at least 15 mm. Shouldn’t the trays have support rings? Their levelness requires high precision. 1. Before installing the trays, it’s necessary to ensure that the upper surfaces of the tower ring and the beams are on the same horizontal level, with their levelness within 4 mm; this can only be checked when the tower is placed vertically. Therefore, the trays should be installed vertically. 2. To ensure that the bolt holes in the trays correspond one-to-one with those in the T-beams, so that trays with identical structures can be interchanged easily and installation is simplified, the bolt holes at both ends of the trays should be made oval-shaped, and at least one end’s bolt connections should be replaced with clip connections.
