I have been engaged in research and engineering design of Lurgi furnace wastewater treatment technology. Recently I started getting into Texaco craftsmanship. I feel that Texaco's wastewater quality and quantity are less polluted than Lurgi furnaces. But I don’t know the specific reasons for the formation of the process. Please give me some advice. Thanks
The wastewater does not contain tar and phenol, and the environmental pollution is not serious.
Texaco's gasification temperature and pressure are high, and phenols, tar and other organic pollutants have been burned and oxidized and converted into carbon dioxide, water and other substances. The Lurgi furnace's gasification temperature and pressure are low, and phenols, tar and other pollutants are generated and discharged with the gray water. It is incorrect to say that the low gasification temperature and pressure of the Lurgi furnace are the main reasons for the generation of waste water. The pressure of the Lurgi furnace is generally 3-4MPa, and the maximum temperature in the furnace reaches about 1000 degrees. It is fully capable of burning and converting organic pollutants such as phenols and tar. The reason why these things exist is because the Lurgi furnace is a fixed bed with a low upper temperature (200-650), and is divided into carbonization and drying layers. Phenols, tar, etc. are all products of carbonization. It is precisely for this reason that the methane content in the gas produced is relatively high. The water consumption of the Lurgi stove should not be as large as that of Texaco. There is no black gray water treatment and recycling process in Lucci's process. Does anyone know about it?
The water vapor utilization rate of the Lurgi furnace is low, about 40%, and the amount of water brought into the system by the gasification agent is not small. Coupled with the dry distillation of coal and dry moisture, the amount of wastewater from the Lurgi furnace is still very large, and it is difficult to manage.
