I would like to ask fellow sea industry professionals: is there any required ratio between the investment in an enterprise’s environmental protection facilities and the total value of its equipment? Where does its standard come from?
There are no standards for newly established enterprises; it is merely the proportion of investment allocated to environmental protection measures. There is no **standard for this, but rather annual control targets set by the enterprise. As for the investment made by manufacturing enterprises in environmental protection, the costs associated with environmental management, technological upgrades, and the construction of new facilities should not exceed a certain percentage of the enterprise’s output value; there is no fixed rule regarding this, and it constitutes an internal control indicator for the enterprise.
Here, environmental protection investments in ordinary enterprises account for over 5% of the total investment. There is no official standard for this, but it seems to be widely accepted.
In the desulfurization sector of power plants, desulfurization equipment can account for around 2.5% of the total investment in such plants.
Every industry has its own standards recognized within that industry; **there are no unified standards.** The proportion of desulfurization in the total investment is getting lower and lower; it used to be 6–7% once
Standards vary across different industries. We mostly use old equipment, and environmental protection costs are calculated based on the benefits generated.
