What type of valves are used in coal slurry pipelines? Our unit uses ball valves, but they break down frequently! Please advise me, experts! O(∩_∩)O Thank you!

The valves used in coal slurry pipelines are mostly ball valves and two-position valves, which is closely related to the properties of the coal slurry itself.
Ball valves are generally selected for the valves on coal slurry pipelines. Due to the high content of solid particles in the coal slurry, it causes significant wear on the sealing surfaces of the valve core; this problem is especially severe for valves that are operated frequently, as it can easily lead to internal leakage and subsequent failure of the valve. Solution: Choose a wear-resistant material with high wear resistance for the sealing surface material.
It also depends on which brand of ball valve you are using.
For ball valves suitable for use in such industrial and mining environments, what material is the valve core usually made of? Ceramics?

We use Q347Y-16/200 type ball valves, but there have been repeated instances of difficulty in opening and closing the valves as well as damage to the driving mechanism. It could be coking or sludging in the valve chamber. The situation is particularly severe for the black and gray water pipelines; every time users stop the system for maintenance, we send personnel to service the valves. . Simple cleaning is sufficient for valves that are severely scaled.
May I ask the original poster: after pouring in the material, have you completed the flushing of the coal slurry pipeline? Is a pressure test performed on the slurry pump before driving it? Valve failures should not occur if the pipeline is flushed clean every time.
