Not many good filtration systems are available for slurry handling, mainly due to the high viscosity of the slurry, the presence of a large amount of fine particles, high operating temperatures, as well as the frequent need to start up and switch filters for backwashing. This is manifested in frequent valve leaks and rapid failure of filter elements, even those imported. The results of efforts to tackle this issue in many domestic organizations can be said to be rather unsatisfactory (this is my opinion; perhaps I’m not well-informed enough).
