It’s actually quite simple to achieve good surface quality by ensuring proper inspection; by strictly controlling the amount of misalignment and the excess height of welds, the surface quality of the cylinder can be improved significantly. As for painting, spraying is the best method – manual painting is a foolish approach that can ruin everything due to a single mistake.
Who can talk about the costs, advantages, and disadvantages of spray painting and manual painting?
Does inspection have any special requirements regarding painting? It is a basic requirement that the areas to be painted be coated evenly without any peeling. However, I personally think that spraying paint is much better than brushing, as the surface painted by hand has a relatively rough finish, making it easy to see minor defects such as tiny pits on the surface of the container or scratches caused by arcs. With spraying paint, it is much harder to detect these small defects visually
What inspection officers pay attention to is the visual quality of the products, as they are unable to see the internal quality; they can only conduct inspections based on the written information provided by us. All the information we provide has gone through multiple levels of verification, so I don’t think they’ll be able to spot anything; as long as the documents are complete, that’s enough. Based on my experience, they generally pay attention to the appearance of small containers in terms of: 1) the sharpness of edges, 2) the amount of misalignment of edges, 3) the excess height of A/B welds, and the surface quality. 4. Fillet weld leg height, and weld surface quality. In a word, as long as we think it looks fine, they will definitely be satisfied.
Face bark – with a nice appearance, it’s sure to be pleasing to the eye.
Supervisory inspection is not an end in itself but a means; we still need to ensure the true internal quality of the containers. In the event of safety accidents, the manufacturing unit bears primary responsibility, and there must be no complacency.
Properly treat the surface, repair blemishes and scratches in a timely manner, completely remove oil and rust; painting it can also yield good results. The problem is that many factories these days can’t even do this. The compressed air tank we just bought has very poor surface quality. The splatter hasn’t been completely removed, nor has the loose rust on the base metal been cleared; already upon arrival at the factory, several areas of the paint layer had peeled off.
What quality? It’s terrible. If the equipment isn’t sandblasted before painting, can the rust be removed properly? What’s the use of applying paint then! Such devices are better off not being painted at all.
