May I ask: How is thermal equilibrium reflected in the design documents?
In design documents, heat balance data is required for calculating the heat exchange area of heat exchangers, as well as for determining the amount of heating medium (steam, electrical energy) or cooling medium (cooling water) needed.
Data on heat balance is required for various aspects in design documents, such as process control temperatures, parameters related to heat exchangers, the heat needed by heating equipment, and the heat necessary for insulating materials.
So how are these thermal equilibrium data calculated?
The heat load can be calculated using software such as PROII and ASPEN PLUS, or it can be provided by the supplier of the process package.
The overall thermal balance calculation process is usually not provided by the process package supplier to the owner, but material and heat balance diagrams are provided.
