There are three coke oven gas compressors (4M40-305/25) in our factory, and I heard that each one has a different gas volume. I know that poor cooling of the cooler may affect the air volume. Is there anything else that may affect the air volume? Could it be a gas valve? I hope you can give me some advice.
1.Air valve: Leakage conditions vary from unit to unit ; The parameters and performance of the valve components themselves are different. 2. Piston: The clearance volume of each unit is different ; Piston ring leakage amounts are different (shown as interstage leakage) ; 3.Water cooler: Water coolers have different cooling efficiencies. The suction temperature at each level is different, which affects the amount of air pumping. ; 4 Pipe resistance: Due to process piping and fittings: There may be differences, resulting in different pipeline resistances (such as pipe changes, carbon formation inside the pipes, and insufficient opening of the check valve). ; 5 Others: Oil drain valve, safety valve, unloading valve, circuit valve, etc. leak. There are many influencing factors.
The above is quite comprehensive, but special attention should be paid to the fact that if the heat exchanger tubes leak, gas will also enter the circulating water. There are also situations where the valve is exposed, such as leaking inside one valve or not, which will also cause the air pumping volume to be reduced. Then there is the wear of the piston rings. The air volume of the new and old piston rings will definitely be different. If the spring of the air valve is damaged, it is best to replace all the ones that are not damaged with new ones to ensure that the valve plate opens at a consistent height.
I forgot to mention that if there is internal leakage in the safety valve, and the pipeline behind the safety valve is connected to a torch, etc., the internal leakage will not be easily discovered, so attention must be paid.
