The height difference between the center of the manhole and the operation platform is 800–1200; this is specified by the standards! In which specification is it mentioned?
It should be at a height that meets the requirements for operation and maintenance; there’s no need to stick strictly to regulations – 800 meters or more is sufficient, as this makes it easier for people to enter and exit.
SH3012-2000 General Rules for the Design of Pipeline Layouts in Petrochemical Industries – it’s specified there; however, it seems to be 600–1000, with 750 being the optimal value

This requirement, namely 800–1200 mm, was also mentioned in the course design for Chemical Engineering Principles.
The height is determined based on ergonomic principles
