Distance from the edge to the hole in the flat steel

Generally, either threaded holes or round holes are drilled; the minimum distance from the center of the hole to the edge of the flat steel or plate should be at least the diameter of the round hole. For example, if a 30mm round hole is to be drilled, the minimum distance from it to the edge of the flat steel or plate must be 30mm.
This question is a bit vague. What are these flat steel bars used for? They are generally used for fixing purposes, and experience is sufficient in that regard. For applications with requirements regarding strength and hardness, it is sufficient to conduct a check on the critical sections. As for standards, I don’t seem to have heard of them; perhaps it’s just that my knowledge is limited. I hope some fellow sailors who are aware of them can help provide some information.
The flat steel material is Q235B, used to make special pipe clamps.
In my memory, it seems that the distance at the edge should be half of the nominal diameter of the thread. I’m not sure if I’m remembering correctly
Generally, the diameter of a bolt is used to determine the distance from the center of the bolt hole to its edge; likewise, the distance from the center of the bolt hole to the edge where the arc transitions also corresponds to a diameter, ensuring that the bolt can be properly secured using its threads.
Refer to the wrench space and leave a 5mm margin (for an arc without burrs).
