I’m a beginner – what should I pay attention to when it comes to chemical cleaning of power plant boilers and the supervision of water and steam systems in power plants?
1. Newly installed boilers should be boiled out; once they pass the inspection, the water inside them should be replaced. 2. For cleaning boilers, acid cleaning is usually carried out first, followed by alkali cleaning, and after that the water is replaced. 3. When monitoring steam and water in power plants, attention should be paid to the following parameters: hardness/conductivity/resistivity/acidity and alkalinity of desalinated water; hardness/conductivity of condensate water; hardness/conductivity/acidity and alkalinity as well as dissolved oxygen of feedwater; alkalinity/conductivity/phosphate content/silicon and iron content of boiler water, as well as the silicon and iron content in steam
