Friends in the foreign language communities: Thank you very much for your active support and participation in the various activities organized by the foreign language communities! As is well known, the purpose of organizing these events is to: – increase everyone’s interest in learning English ； - Foster an active atmosphere of communication in the forum ； - Encourage everyone to share their experiences in learning English ； - To meet like-minded friends at the Canton Fair, and so on. . . At the same time, since this is an event for everyone, we also hope that all interested members will provide specific suggestions for the event as well as materials needed for it ； Please note that we need a feasible plan; once it is ready, we can start the fifth activity immediately. I support continuing with the events; I will definitely participate.
I think there should be no limit on the number of participants for each event. As in the first 3 events, people wanted to participate but couldn’t get the invitation letters; therefore, it should be a deadline restriction, so that more and more people can attend and the event will become more popular. Based on the requirements of engineering and technical personnel for English skills, a set of mock tests for professional English exams can be created; the difficulty level should not be too high, as this is also a way to prepare for the upcoming professional English exams. The creation of these tests and the grading of answers can be handled by experts from the foreign language department, while the awards are to be determined by the forum moderators

I’m a newcomer, so I’ll definitely participate actively. Is it all written tests? Could there be some listening tests as well, like memorizing lyrics? That would make it more interesting

I haven’t taken the professional qualification exam that everyone is talking about, so I’m not sure how demanding it is. It would be better if there were informational materials that everyone can understand. I think it’s quite difficult to create one’s own exam questions when materials are available, while also ensuring fairness – after all, it’s inevitable that some of the questions will be those that have been used before; some students may be familiar with them while others may not. Moreover, exam questions are less interesting; after all, people have been coming out of school their whole lives and taking so many exams. . . Hehe, I think listening translation is more interesting; everyone should look for suitable materials. These are just my humble opinions; please forgive any mistakes
So far, we haven’t received any materials to hold this activity. Anyway, I’d like to thank those who have given valuable suggestions as well as those who have paid attention to these activities. We still need someone to provide some materials for the 5th activity.
