Reasons for the formation of large, hard balls during granulation

Do any of you colleagues from Sichuan are familiar with the drum ammoniation DAP production process? Please help analyze the reason for the formation of large, hard balls inside the granulator during the granulation process.
The granulator is a bit small, so the distribution of the slurry isn’t very good. Another thing is to control the specific gravity of the slurry; it shouldn’t be too high.
There are many reasons; here are a few key ones: 1. There are many large particles in the raw materials, or there are many large particles in the material returned after screening the product； 2. The granulation temperature is insufficient; it is too wet ； 3. The granulator has a low speed and a long residence time ； 4. The low drying temperature led to secondary granulation.
