The high-temperature exhaust gases resulting from diesel combustion are highly corrosive to equipment. Can the use of sulfur-free diesel reduce this corrosion, and what is the effectiveness of such an approach? I’m not sure what it’s used for; can it be changed to burn natural gas? At present, only diesel sold in a few places such as Beijing and Guangzhou meets the \"Euro III\" emission standards (sulfur content of less than 0.035%) or the National IV standards (sulfur emission level below 50 PPM), but it cannot be considered sulfur-free diesel. It is not clear whether this emission level will satisfy your anti-corrosion requirements. Sulfur-free diesel is not available for sale in the country at present; it is said that Zhenhai Refining & Chemical can produce it, but the product has not yet hit the market.

Sulfur in diesel cannot be completely removed even through hydrogenation; only as processing technologies improve can the sulfur content be reduced further. Current hydrogenation processes are able to lower the sulfur content even more. However, diesel with a low sulfur content has reduced lubricity, which has an adverse effect on engine performance; fortunately, diesel lubricants are now available to address this issue.
