Our company uses acid-resistant rubber as padding; in the event of acid leakage, a mold is created during shutdown, and acid-resistant grouting material is poured in, and once it has set, operations can resume.

It can last for over a year; PTFE gaskets are the best choice – they may be more expensive, but they’re reliable. Of course, the PTFE gasket is too hard, so maintenance workers don’t like to use it; if it’s not installed properly, leaks will occur
As a reference, expanded PTFE gaskets can be used; with a compression rate of 33%, they do not damage the pipes. Their rebound rate is 23%, which allows them to maintain an effective sealing preload. The price of such gaskets differs significantly from that of ordinary high-quality PTFE gaskets – they are definitely more expensive than inferior PTFE gaskets.
