Does anyone know what technology is used in Shell’s powder gasification and powder drying system? Thank you
It’s already quite mature; this isn’t within the scope of Shell’s gasification technology.
Many power plants and steel mills use this coal powder preparation and drying technology; it has nothing to do with Shell’s gasification technology, and the basic and detailed designs are carried out by design institutes
The sheii technology package does not include the 1100 system. The coal powder preparation system makes use of the method of blast furnace injection for coal powder preparation, a technique that is already widely used in the metallurgy and construction materials industries; it is still in its early stages in the chemical industry, but the technology is already quite mature
The CMD unit technology is well-established and is commonly used in power plants; Shell only provides the functional specifications as well as the PFS&MHB, while everything else is handled by the design institute.
Agreed; shell’s software packages generally don’t provide very detailed instructions regarding coal preparation!
Learn a bit – the same question: what is a CMD unit?
Reply 1# *ao*NY: It’s a highly mature technology – inert gas generators or hot air furnaces. It has nothing to do with the technology licensor.
Reply to 7# bigqiqi: The coal grinding and drying unit, i.e., CMD
