Are Siemens systems used less in the chemical industry? How come I see people on the forum saying that there are few Siemens systems?
You mean PCS7, right? We use PCS7 in our compound fertilizer project – the system is stable and its modules are not prone to damage. Installation is rather complicated, and the backup size for the configuration items is huge. I don’t like domestic DCS systems whose backups are just a few megabytes in size; even after compression, their backup sizes remain in the tens of megabytes.
