One reason: it is caused by changes in the quality of the water entering the system; it is recommended to test the quality of the water entering the mixed-bed filter; Another reason: it may be caused by incomplete regeneration during the operation.
Firstly, it could be due to incomplete regeneration, uneven mixing, cross-contamination occurring during regeneration, or improper control of the inflow velocity in the mixed bed. 5 If the water quality from the anion exchange bed is not up to standard, it goes to the mixed bed. 6 The mixed bed is contaminated. All of these will lead to a shorter operating cycle for the mixed-bed
From an external perspective, changes in the quality of the water entering the system are one of the reasons. After preliminary treatment, the water enters the mixed-bed reactor; however, the treatment efficiency in this process is poor, which results in a shortened operating time for the mixed-bed reactor; From an internal perspective, incomplete regeneration of the mixed-bed can also lead to the aforementioned issues. A lack of distinct layering, improper control of acid and alkali addition rates, and insufficient swelling of the resin can all cause the mixed-bed to fail more quickly.
First, check the quality of the water entering the system; next, examine the regeneration and mixing of the resin; finally, check for resin contamination.
