I was doing a test run on a project and found that the feed inlet (center) of the furnace was only 100mm higher than the static boiling layer. Everyone expressed their opinions to see what the impact would be and if there were any ways to solve the problem without making major changes.
The boiling furnace we have here is that the discharge port is almost inserted into the boiling layer. Driving for the first few days had no impact. After driving for more than 4 days, positive pressure smoke appeared frequently at the unloading port. The reason may be: 1. It is related to the fact that the height of the unloading port is too low and the negative pressure zone is not reached. 2. The collapse of the furnace wall causes the air flow in the boiling layer to fluctuate, and the discharge port is prone to spraying out.
Consider adding air lines on both sides of the inlet for air sealing.
It doesn’t matter, 100MM is fine. The key should be to consider the height of the discharge port. The feed port has little impact. The roasted product mainly leaves the system by overflow, so the height of the discharge port should be roughly the same as the height of the fluidized bed. Generally, 0.8~1.2M is more reasonable.
Increase the pressure of the air seal on the existing basis of the unloading port, but be careful not to allow the input ore to blow all over the floor after increasing the air pressure.
