Talk about how you handle ammonia in chillers
Since the chiller uses ammonia, it is necessary to protect the operating equipment first; it is best to shut it down. Then, the liquid ammonia in the pipeline system is treated, using methods such as steam or water heating to remove it from the oil, in order to establish a proper oil system for restarting the operation ; At the same time, recover the liquid ammonia in the recovery pipeline, and if necessary, use water for flushing or other methods to speed up the process.
When ammonia is detected at the inlet of the refrigeration unit, the inlet valve should be closed slightly and the auxiliary valve opened a bit to raise the temperature of the ammonia entering the system, thereby vaporizing the liquid ammonia. Immediate contact should be made with the ammonia synthesis tower crew to lower the liquid level in the evaporator appropriately. Open the valve at the bottom of the buffer to release liquid ammonia into the oil boiler where it evaporates into gaseous ammonia. If there is severe liquid leakage causing vibration in the machine body, an emergency shutdown should be initiated immediately to prevent the accident from worsening. Please have the original poster take a look at these two links: 1. Problems with screw chillers related to ammonia; 2. Improper operation in the ammonia synthesis tower leading to frosting on the inlet of the chiller and ammonia presence – how should the relevant personnel handle this?
First, it is necessary to determine the severity of the ammonia issue. If it is severe, the chiller should be stopped immediately; at the same time, the ammonia addition valve on the synthesis unit should be closed, and the drain valve of the buffer tank at the chiller’s inlet should be opened to allow the ammonia solution to be discharged directly into the oil boiling tank. Some time ago, due to our failure to act promptly, the coil of the chiller was frozen and damaged; we need to be more careful
First, contact the synthesis tower crew; then increase the capacity of the pre-splitter, reduce the load on the chiller, and open the bypass valve to raise the inlet temperature
When the ammonia level in the chiller is too high, it is necessary to shut down the machine for maintenance; if the situation isn’t that severe, I would take the following actions: 1. Contact the previous processing stage to reduce the amount of ammonia added, thereby lowering the liquid level in the ammonia cooler. 2. Activate the inlet buffer for ammonia discharge. 3. Slightly close the inlet valve and heat the inlet pipeline using steam.
1. Control the liquid level in the ammonia cooler used for synthesis and refining; a fine of 50 yuan will be imposed for each instance of frost forming on the valve at the outlet of gaseous ammonia from the ammonia cooler. 2. If frost is found on the compressor head, immediately pass steam under the inlet buffer tube of the compressor. But generally, the first one has the greatest effect~~~~
