What does it mean by dashboard installation and rack installation? Could someone provide pictures of the disk-mounted and rack-mounted versions? That would make it easier to understand Are there any other installation methods besides these two?
Disk-mounted instruments are those installed on the dashboard; a mounting hole is created in the dashboard, the instrument is inserted into this hole from the front, and then secured in place. Disk-mounted instruments generally have functions such as indication, recording, and control. Mounted instruments are those installed on the frame behind the dashboard; they generally have functions such as signal conversion, distribution, and calculation, and are instruments that do not require operators to view or operate.
Are the instruments installed in a rack the same as those installed on a dashboard?
Dashboards come in various forms; common types include framed dashboards, channel-type dashboards, cabinet-type dashboards, and screen-based dashboards. The so-called after-market instruments are typically installed on the frame behind a frame-type dashboard.
