What is the difference between single-unit testing and joint testing?
Generally, individual unit testing involves testing a single piece of equipment during its installation, such as motors or compressors. In contrast, integrated testing refers to the comprehensive testing that takes place after all the equipment is connected together; it is used to determine how well each unit functions and whether it meets the required standards. Integrated testing is often an important part of turnkey projects
Single-unit testing is sometimes referred to as standalone unit testing, and it involves adjusting individual parts of the entire process. In project construction, after individual unit tests are completed successfully, coordinated testing is carried out; in many cases, water is used as a substitute for the actual material, which is also known as water-based coordinated testing.
Single-unit testing, also known as individual unit operation testing, is used to check the various parameters and performance aspects of the interlocks during the operation of the drive machine. The combined unit test is called a load test, which is used to examine the operation of the entire unit under load conditions.
Individual unit testing involves testing individual devices within the entire system; it serves as the foundation for integrated system testing. Only after individual unit testing is completed can the integrated system testing be carried out.
