I would like to ask: during the growth of silicon rods, their roots turn blue, which is different from the color of the rods themselves. Does anyone know why this happens?
Polycrystals may exhibit abnormal colors, and they may also form compound films (C/N/O).

I think it has something to do with the purity of the materials used. The main issue is that the water content is too high
I think it’s largely caused by impurities depositing on the surface! !
Color change can occur if the impurity distribution is uneven during deposition, or if the deposition speed is too slow; such color changes are usually blue or dark yellow. The impurities are mostly nitrides.
It might be caused by too much condensate in the feed; condensate is formed when hydrogen and trichlorosilane are mixed.
