I think everyone has encountered situations where the oil testing results show that it meets the standards, yet its performance in actual use is poor; especially, there is a huge difference between small factories and large ones. Are there any new testing methods, simpler ones to use, aside from expensive equipment such as mass spectrometers and chromatographs? Ask everyone for advice humbly? In fact, experienced craftsmen can tell whether the quality of the oil washing agent is good or not. Our factory also purchases tar-based oil washing agents for benzene purification; once, the samples purchased passed the tests, but the actual quality of the products was poor. When we purchased more of such agents later, an experienced worker from our factory went along with us. He told me that good oil washing agents have a slight blue tint, are somewhat shiny, and when a drop of them is applied, no water droplets form and there are no impurities present.
It is likely that the naphthalene content is insufficient. Our factory started out the same way. Later, as the naphthalene content increased, the oil consumption dropped significantly!
It’s that there’s less methylnaphthalene fraction and more of the later fractions. The indicators are within acceptable limits, but the benzene removal efficiency is poor
If judged manually, at 15 degrees there are no crystals, the color is bright, and it is not sticky. It can basically meet the requirements. If analytical testing is carried out, it is important that the levels of naphthalene and acenaphthene are not too high; it is best if their combined amount is below 30%. The components of the tests, and the reasons sometimes given for them, often involve a high degree of falsification. Just take a visual check.
