Is there a feature in CAD that can convert three-view drawings into 3D models or 2D solid outline diagrams? ?
Have you studied 3D modeling? If so, you’re familiar with top-view planes and extrusion; you can look for some 3D modeling textbooks to read
The three-view drawings are plan views; how can they be converted into 3D models?
As far as I know, AUTOCAD and SW2007 do not yet have this feature; to obtain a 3D model, it is necessary to perform some modeling tasks based on the 2D drawing, such as extrusion and rotation. SW does have the capability to create 3D models from images; I haven’t used it yet, and I guess the resulting models won’t be very accurate, so the amount of work required for modifications will likely be significant.
This feature is not supported; lines on a plane cannot be converted into ones in 3D space.
I really haven’t learned 3D modeling, as what’s required now are 2D drawings. I want to create drawings with a three-dimensional effect so that it’s easier for the workshop staff to understand them and reduce errors. I’m not sure how difficult it would be to learn this ? If it’s easier to draw, I’d like to learn *it!
Create four viewports, setting them as three-view and 3D viewports to facilitate understanding; as for converting a plan view into a 3D model, CAD does not seem to have such a function
Three-view drawings can only be turned into a solid by first defining surface regions and then applying rotation and stretching; it’s impossible to do this without defining such regions. For regular shapes, it’s easy to achieve this using the aforementioned methods
If it is a symmetric solid, it is easy to draw: first select its axis of symmetry, remove the symmetrical parts, and then rotate the remaining region
CAD has relatively weak capabilities in this area; it’s better to use SW for simple tasks.
