What about the material? Most materials can be surfaced welded. A 25mm thick tube should experience some deformation, but not too much; it depends on how the surfacing welding is carried out. However, the amount of deformation can be controlled by regulating the heat input during welding. I hope the original poster can provide more details – such as the base material, the surfacing material, the direction and method of welding, etc. This way we can have a more targeted discussion; otherwise, no matter how much we talk, it won’t be of any use, and it might not help you at all!
Sure, cladding is possible; to prevent deformation, machining can be carried out after cladding, and a welding process is required for cladding! !
It can be stacked; a thickness of 25 mm might cause some deformation. How thick do you plan to stack it?
Cladding using a tubular surfacing welder can effectively control welding deformation.
It’s best to use circumferential surfacing! If the inner diameter of the pipe is made a bit larger, and then welding is carried out with a thicker weld layer before further processing, there generally won’t be any problems!
