As a shift supervisor, to what extent should one master chemistry, and what should be understood?
It seems that no in-depth knowledge of chemical water treatment is required, right? It is sufficient to know the process flow and the requirements for the final water quality; ensuring that the various water levels in the chemical water treatment plant meet the needs of safe operation is all that is required. There is no need to know exactly how the water is produced. Chemical water treatment simply involves supplying deionized water to the boiler, as long as this ensures the safe operation of the boiler (i.e., the water quality and quantity are appropriate).
