In the technical parameters of the equipment provided by the user, superheated steam often appears. The corresponding working temperature under its working pressure is too far from that in the dry saturated steam table. Ask the teacher to help solve it.

The temperature of superheated steam is higher than the temperature of saturated steam under the same pressure, and the higher temperature is called superheat. Generally, steam is transported with a superheat of 5-10 degrees during the transportation process. This is to reduce the generation of condensation water during the transportation process. When designing a heat exchanger, because the heat transfer coefficient of superheated steam is much smaller than that of saturated steam, a certain heat exchange area margin must be left for this part of the superheat when designing the heat exchanger. If there is superheat, a temperature gradient will be generated on the heat exchanger. If the temperature requirements are higher, superheated steam cannot be used. If the superheat is too high, you can add desuperheating water before entering the heat exchanger to reduce the temperature to slightly above the saturation temperature.
