During the reduction of low-pressure methanol synthesis catalysts, the water vapor concentration is always on the high side; it is significantly higher when calculated based on the amount of water produced. Generally, the water output is controlled at 100 kilograms per hour, which should keep the water vapor concentration below 2. However, when measuring the actual water vapor concentration, it falls between 8 and 10, with a water output of 45 kilograms. What could be the reasons for this? A copper catalyst is used, with copper, zinc, and aluminum as its main components.
The analyzed water vapor concentration is lower than the calculated value; the following factors should be considered: 1. Whether the sampling point is positioned correctly, and whether any condensate water enters the analysis system along with the gas； 2. Is the circulation volume of the circulator different from the nominal value? Is the actual circulation volume lower than the nominal value due to a fault in the circulator? ； 3. A large amount of condensate water is present in the water cooler, resulting in the actual measured water volume being lower than the actual water output volume.
