The temperature of the condenser in the distillation tower came out to be negative – what’s going on? I would be extremely grateful if experts could give me some advice!
It’s the condenser of the deethanizer
I carried out a simulation using the DHX process for light hydrocarbon recovery. Since this was my first time doing such simulations, I wasn’t able to model the pathway by which the liquid hydrocarbons from the deethanization reflux tank return to the DHX tower; therefore, that pathway was disconnected and assumptions were made instead. However, the temperature value of the liquid hydrocarbons in the reflux tank as calculated turns out to be negative. Most importantly, I would appreciate it if experts could advise me on how to simulate the pathway by which the liquid hydrocarbons exiting the deethanization reflux tank pass through heat exchange and throttling to cool down before entering the DHX tower for absorption Why can’t I upload the picture? I wonder if I can see the picture? I hope experts can help me. If I can’t see it, please advise me on how to simulate the process in which the liquid hydrocarbons in the reflux tank undergo heat exchange, are then cooled through throttling, and finally enter the DHX tower for absorption. Thank you so much! (It’s okay if you just tell me the theory; I’ll learn it slowly on my own*…)
Try using SW6 to simulate it for a while
