In engineering installation, we often use some power tools, among which hand drills, electric hammers, and hand grinding wheels are the most common. The following are some safety precautions that I have summarized from collecting some information and daily work. I used them as a lesson plan for new workers a few days ago. Today I will excerpt a part for Haichuan friends to share. 1. Precautions for the safe use of electric hand drills and electric hammers 1. Before use, select a suitable drill bit, distinguish between a square head and a round head at the end, and use a special key to tighten the drill bit on the chuck. 2. The power cord and shell grounding wire should be rubber-sheathed soft wires, and the shell should be reliably grounded. 3. When starting to use, do not hold the electric drill to connect the power supply. Place it on an insulator and then connect the power supply. Use a test pen to check whether the shell is charged. Press the switch and let the electric drill idle for a while to check whether the rotation is normal and test the electricity again. 4. Hold the hand tightly when using it, and do not push the electric drill hard to avoid overloading the tool and burning the winding. ; When the speed decreases significantly, the pressure applied should be reduced ; When the rotation suddenly stops, the power supply must be cut off immediately. 5. Smaller workpieces must be firmly fixed before being drilled to ensure that the workpiece does not rotate with the drill bit during drilling and to ensure the safety of the operator. 2. Precautions for safe use of hand grinding wheels 1. Operators must wear protective masks and labor protection equipment. 2. Before use, you should check to make sure that the grinder is in good condition, the grinding wheel is intact, the protective cover is complete, all fasteners are tightened, and the spindle should rotate flexibly. Check that the wire insulation of the hand grinding wheel is intact. 3. Before connecting the power supply, check whether the line voltage and frequency comply with the nameplate data. Press the switch and let the hand grinding wheel idle for a while to check whether the rotation is normal. 4. Pay attention to selecting appropriate grinding wheels. Choose cutting discs or grinding discs according to different usage situations. 5. When grinding or cutting, approach the object to be processed slowly, apply force evenly, keep your hands steady, and hold the grinding wheel tightly to prevent the grinder from jumping and injuring people, and to prevent the grinding wheel from flying out and injuring people. If you find abnormal sound, mushy smell, smoke, etc. during use, you should stop using it immediately. 6. Worn grinding wheels should be replaced in time. The power supply must be cut off when replacing. Do not lift the cable when moving the grinding wheel. 7. This grinder should not be used in explosive environments to avoid the risk of explosion.
