N——Normal, nominal; D——Diameter; P——Pressure; T——Temperature; DN——Nominal diameter; PN——Engineering pressure

Here, DN, PN, and TN refer to direction indicators; on construction drawings, they are usually located in the upper right corner, with the arrow pointing north. In the design drawings produced by design institutes in the past, PN was commonly used, but recently I encountered DN on one set of drawings. I’m not sure how to distinguish between these terms I’d like to ask!

Oh, on wind roses, PN and TN are usually indicated. PN stands for the north side of a building, while TN refers to true north. An angle is often also specified between PN and TN, to assist fire safety authorities in carrying out their inspections; this is useful for things such as fire safety planning or wind energy utilization, as well as for larger-scale plans like urban planning. TN: TRUE NORTH PN: PLAN NORTH DN has not been seen yet

PN: plant north – the north direction of a device; CN: construction n – the north direction in construction; TN: true north – the actual north direction
