Is phosphorus testing in wastewater different from phosphorus testing in circulating water?

Everyone, I posted a thread some time ago asking about total phosphorus in circulating water. I have now received an answer stating that the phosphorus measured in wastewater refers to the total phosphorus in the water, while the phosphorus measured in circulating water is orthophosphate. Different curves are used for these two cases. Is that correct?
The principle is the same. It’s just that the concentration is different. The phosphorus concentration in wastewater should be higher than that in circulating water. Therefore, the concentration used to prepare the working curve is also increased accordingly.
It’s not just a matter of concentration; during measurement, there are far more interfering substances in wastewater with varying degrees of pollution than in circulating water. Moreover, some wastewaters (depending on their degree of pollution) are colored themselves, and the principle of spectrophotometry is based on color comparison, which also causes interference during measurement. Therefore, wastewater also requires appropriate analysis methods to be determined based on its level of pollution.
