Pipeline virtual/real indication

In piping diagrams, visible process pipelines are shown with solid lines, while those that are buried or out of sight are represented by dashed lines. Which standard specifies this?

Buried pipelines should not be shown as dashed lines; their elevation can be used to represent them； It seems that the parts that are blocked don’t need to be marked with dashed lines either; they can be indicated through the unblocked sections at both ends.
