I’m looking for some materials on transformations, such as the principles behind them and the methods for adjusting them; it would be great if there were diagrams and step-by-step instructions available. (I’m not from this work section, but I want to understand it in order to handle the next one well.) I really want to know the reason behind the settings for each device; I also have a question. In the design of our plant’s shift converter section, there is a steam inlet valve before the raw gas enters the converter. However, the technician on site told me that this valve has never been opened, which confused me greatly. How can the water-to-gas ratio be controlled without steam? In what parameters can high or low water-to-gas ratios be reflected? How to adjust it if it’s high or low? The control of steam pressure in the two Central Asian steam generators is different on our side; is it the same on your end as well? How much do you each control?

We produce methanol here, using a shift + gas distribution process for the conversion. The steam line here is used to cool the passivated catalyst. The water vapor ratio is regulated by temperature; generally, the water vapor ratio in the process gas generated through vaporization is relatively high. Here, we control the temperature to cool down the water vapor, and then separate it using a separation tank. The water vapor ratio can be adjusted using the relationship between temperature and pressure. Take a look for yourself at the steam produced by the boiler – the temperature of the recovered steam is definitely not at the same level!
