The WSA process produces 98% sulfuric acid; are there any special requirements regarding the materials used for the sulfuric acid storage tanks and pumps? Generally, carbon steel is sufficient for concentrated sulfuric acid, but WSA requires that the sulfuric acid storage tanks and pumps be lined with polytetrafluoroethylene, and that the sulfuric acid pumps have ceramic shafts. For whatever reason, I would appreciate it if experts could give me some advice!
Domestic sulfuric acid pumps have reached a relatively mature level of technology; they can be used continuously for 2 to 3 years without any problems, and carbon steel is sufficient for the sulfuric acid storage tanks.

Due to the high flow velocity and severe erosion inside the pump, ordinary carbon steel cannot be used; instead, high-silicon cast iron is employed.

A pump lined with PTFE will suffice; generally, the pump shaft does not come into contact with the fluid, so I think it’s sufficient if the material has adequate hardness and toughness
