The benefits are not good, and every business leader is talking about saving energy and reducing consumption. Our factory’s experience: 1. By taking advantage of the price difference between peak and off-peak electricity rates, all equipment that does not need to operate continuously is turned on during off-peak hours ； 2. Evaluate all operating electrical equipment, reduce its power consumption, and lower electricity usage ； 3. Remove all external contractors from the enterprise, encourage workers to do the work themselves as much as possible, and provide them with appropriate compensation ； 4. All outsourced projects must be carefully monitored; efforts should be made to handle the work in-house to ensure self-sufficiency. A certain reward will be given based on the amount saved, which motivates the workers greatly ； 5. Resolutely refuse to reduce total wage income in order to suppress workers’ enthusiasm for work ；
I think the most important thing for the procurement department is to reduce the incoming price of each individual type of coal.
There are three main measures taken by our factory (as mentioned in the meetings): 1. Control the consumption of water and electricity to prevent waste. 2. Complete all tasks that can be done internally, thereby reducing the need to hire external workers. 3. Repair any damaged insulation on high-temperature pipes and equipment to minimize steam loss. I’m not sure if this will be useful to everyone
Adjust the coal blending ratio to reduce costs. Reduce waste and prioritize conservation. Increase the coking time. Make more use of the time difference in electricity prices.
Saving should start with ourselves. We have a boss here who is a billionaire, but when the economic crisis on Wall Street hit last year, he had all his cars with high emission levels taken out of use. Drive a car with a 2.0 emission rating of my own. Managers should all have this kind of demeanor! Save every drop of water, every unit of electricity, and every sheet of paper – we shouldn’t think about saving only when an economic crisis hits.
