The PID includes the process systems, as long as those systems comprise equipment or instrumentation. The PID of machinery and package units is not shown. What does “machinery” mean here?
It refers to “equipment or a set of equipment”.

Machinery and package units should refer to (complete sets of) mechanical equipment and process package units. Both the process packages and mechanical equipment are supplied as complete sets, so no detailed information is specified in the PID. Note: machinery and package are in a parallel relationship. I think “machinery” is a general term, that is, a collective term for “mechanical equipment”.
