What should be the maximum chloride ion content in the ash water of coal water slurry gasifiers? Since a high chloride ion content causes severe corrosion to pipes, manufacturers generally keep it within a certain range. The control range varies from manufacturer to manufacturer; are there any specific requirements? Are there any requirements in some regulations?
It should be determined based on the water quality in the region. I’m not sure if the original poster has noticed, but the pipes in vaporization water systems are mostly made of carbon steel, with stainless steel being used very rarely. It should have little impact on the pipes. But the downcomer is made of stainless steel! ! ! !
The chloride level in the graywater tank should be less than 250PPM, and the turbidity should be less than 280mg/l; otherwise, corrosion will be severe. As mentioned above, most pipes are carbon steel.

The chloride content in the graywater I’ve come across ranges from 400–500 ppm, and sometimes it can reach 600 ppm.
At the last meeting, another expert said that it’s usually above 1000 PPm. I think it depends on the water quality; it’s not fixed.
